Application
The insecticidal activity of Veratrum album root and rhizome extract mainly comes from its steroidal alkaloids (such as veratramine, jervine, and angeloyl jervine, etc.). Its mechanism of action is that the agent destroys the cuticle of the insect's body surface or interferes with the normal conduction of its nervous system after contact with the insect or being consumed by the pest, ultimately leading to the paralysis, prostration and death of the pest.

Practical Application and Effects
Control of mites
In crops such as citrus and tea, a 0.1% solution of veratrum root and rhizome extract diluted 600 to 1500 times can be sprayed to effectively control red spider mites and tea yellow mites. Research also shows that when combined with mineral oil, it has a good effect on controlling Panonychus citri on citrus.
Control of aphids and thrips
Field trials have shown that a 0.5% solution of veratrum root and rhizome extract can achieve an 88.2% control rate against daylily aphids 7 days after application. This formulation also has a good control effect on melon thrips.
Technical Usage and Precautions
Technical Usage:
Application timing: It is recommended to apply the pesticide at the beginning of the pest outbreak.
Dilution method: It is suggested to use the double dilution method. First, thoroughly mix the pesticide with a small amount of water, and then add the required amount of water to ensure uniformity of the solution.
Even spraying: Make sure to spray the solution evenly and thoroughly on both sides of the leaves and areas where pests gather.
Rotating pesticides: To delay the development of resistance, it is recommended to alternate the use of this pesticide with others that have different modes of action.
